I thought the poem portrayed a feeling of anxiety of the incredulous mother that has just lost her baby. The poem makes quite an impression on you. You are angry at the mother, but you pity her. Your feelings contradict themselves. It is an interesting poem that works with words so well that every verse shows a different emotion. The poem is very intense.
My group chose our three key moments not only by their importance in the poem, but also, how effective our still images would be. What we did was select various moments we thought were important and then chose from them, the ones we could make better still images from.
RESPONSE/reflection:
I thought our group work was extremely effective, i think we understood quite well the real and unnaturalistic still images. We used the technique effectively trying to explore the different emotions in the play. We had to analyse every word so that the image could be associated to the verse of the poem. I think that we were quick at understanding what a still image is.
